Hey, if you're too dumb to comprehend the fact that Toyota CALLS ALL THEIR PRIUS MODELS ELECTRIC VEHICLES, then there's no expectation of you having enough brains for anything else!

Is it really that difficult for you to recognize the FACT that your 2013 Prius CAN AND DOES run in EV MODE using it's ELECTRIC MOTORS to power the vehicle WITHOUT USING GASOLINE OR DIESEL FUEL and therefore is considered an ELECTRIC vehicle, it shows quite clearly that YOU have the profound inability to
admit that you're wrong and correct yourself! 

So I suggest you repeat this sentence over and over until it sinks in to that addled little brain of yours and learns to accept the facts:

EV's adon't have an "EV Mode," because EVs re ALWAYS in EV mode.

It's never been a "diesel" locomotive, but always correctly a diesel-electic locomotive. Only amateurs call it by the former name. 

Early versions were DC powered traction motors with diesel generators that also had rectifiers. Speed controls were much easier using DC at the time. Today's versions are AC traction motors with a more technically advanced speed control system. Far less heat to dissipate and greater control over speed.

Stating the facts of how a vehicle is classified by the manufacturer is hardly attempting to win "at all costs".
If Toyota wasn't claiming that ALL Prius models are built with the ability to run on ONLY battery powered EV mode, I'd have no problem stating they weren't.  But since THEY choose to call them Hybrid EVs, why does anyone have an argument against that?

And diesel is a FUEL, not very different from gasoline.  The electric motors in a diesel generator CANNOT operate without diesel fuel, unlike how ALL Prius models have the ability to drive using NO gasoline or other fuel.  And whether a Prius model is capable of driving for no more than limited mileage or for hundreds of miles do not change that classification.  They ALL can run using ONLY electric battery power.

Why is that capability so hard to accept?  You call it "splitting hairs", but isn't even a "split" hair STILL called a hair?
