Hybrids were the best way to accommodate the use of electrics while having virtually no charging stations in our infrastructure. That infrastructure has improved so there may be an added plug but it's still a hybrid not 100% reliant on charging stations.
Plus a hybrid solves some real problems EV's still have: cold weather being close to the top if not the top of the list.

Zeke has no concept what an alternator is.  He cannot consider alternatives. He is a direct current guy.  Once the energy starts flowing back and forth he loses it.
