That DOESN'T change the fact that with or without a plug, your Prius is considered an Electric Vehicle BY TOYOTA because it can be driven in ELECTRIC VEHICLE MODE without needing gas or diesel fuel!

Hybrid is gas/electric combo.

Basically it switches back and forth the gas motor charges the battery and a sensor monitors it

A true fully E/V is like Teslas you have to plug it in for a charge no gas motor just battery.

Ethanol Gas practically all gasoline today is 10 percent blend

2001 on cars made run on that no problems.

A really old car there are Gas Station $ell No ethanol."Premium" but the High grade gas 92 octane is 75 cents a buck more per gallon  than Regular 87 

States like Iowa , Minnesota and Wisconsin also "Subsidize" the Ethanol Industry ya can buy the Mid-Grade 89 Unlead a quarter 40/50 cents cheaper buts thats E-15 blend and only 2007 year and newer can run that blend

Think about this too not only Keeping AMERICAN FARMERS in Buisness..

How much does Ethanol blend gas and Soy Diesel reduce our "Dependance" on Forien Oil Exports..

Another "By-Product" of that is High Grade Cattle Feed at a reasonable price.

The waste goes to stock yards fattens up the cows and pigs good chicken feed too all the nutrients everything good 4 livestock

We built a refrigeration system to make biofuel.  The Canadians defaulted on the contract at the beginning of the trade war and the skids sit on our site. 2 Million dollars of blood sweat and tears in stasis..

I am trying to inspire we seek funding to buy it and pilot a biofuel plant here in Maryland.
I really dont understand why it doesn't sell, but there must be an economic deterrent to pursuing the tech.

I dont know how old ya are but when I was a kid our skys had thick smog.

Steel mills , the Foundries, and old cars and trucks beching smoke up and down the highways.

Back in the 1970s/1980s/ technology changed cars trucks burn much cleaner today and at that time we exportored allotta our jobs to Asia and Mexico where they zero to no rules as far as Enviroment and Pollution.

Sure these days our skies much cleaner again technology.

We exported Heavy Industry "3rd World" since then as well

So Global Warming/Climate Change..

Why should The "USA" slice our own throats Economically when Asia Mexico and the 3rd World have Zero Rules or payoffs smog the skies dump chemicals i  the lakes and rivers.

And even our advanced treatment and technology aint good enough yet.

Hopefully we will also have super clean Fusion Power in our regression to Neanderthalism.  We do pour tens of billions into the tech.  Forcing Hydrogen into Helium is a high pressure task.  It will likely require industrial cooling.  Some of the tech requires cryogenic environments.

Caves? Animal Skins?  That sounds like laws the Trump Admin want to resurrect.  Trump could take us back in time to being primordial soup. It is far easier to maintain and control than humans pursuing life, liberty, and justice. But tax revenue might decrease, and the budget could go for broke.
