If everyone drove 67 Chevelles humanity would suffocate today. 20 lbs CO2 for every gallon 6.8 lbs of gasoline combusted.
We know. Science, Knowledge, and Tech aren't manly. You probably think your sex robot is a woman.

Wrong again!Mrkelly » 26 Aug 2025, 3:46 pm » wrote: ↑ Toyota doesn’t sell the Prius as an EV car
Id like to see the ad
It sells it as having an “EV mode”
Just the fact that you can choose to never use it
Makes it impossible to call it an “EV”

Zeets2 » 26 Aug 2025, 4:06 pm » wrote: ↑ Wrong again!
They refer to it as a PHEV, which stands for Plug-in Hybrid ELECTRIC VEHICLE!
Here's the ad, and maybe that will convince you. I know CP and JohnnyYou are still scratching their empty heads over that fact as they run away from continuing their obvious ignorance they've shown on this thread!2026 Toyota Prius PHEV
Prius PHEV. Given the buying public's growing familiarity with EVs and hybrids and their attendant terminology, it makes sense to incorporate the self-explanatory PHEV acronym in the name.

Zeets, Buddy, take the L on this one. A hybrid is an ICE vehicle. I have owned three of them. 2008 Highlander, 2012 Honda CRz, and now a Honda insight. They are gasoline vehicles that have a battery assist. The battery is charged under braking and deceleration. While I can. Choose EV mode I allow the car to choose when and I get over 50 MPH.Zeets2 » 26 Aug 2025, 12:00 pm » wrote: ↑ It's NOT what I call it, you moron! IT'S WHAT TOYOTA CALLS IT!:

Have you ever heard of regenerative braking? It takes energy to slow down a vehicle. It's cool the Prius does this by charging the battery and recapturing the energy to stop instead of turning it into frictional heat on brake pads.Zeets2 » 26 Aug 2025, 11:45 am » wrote: ↑ Yes, nitwit, it CAN. That's what makes it A **** HYBRID YOU ASSHOLE!
It can ALSO run ONLY ON IT'S ELECTRIC MOTOR!
Would you care to explain to me WHY someone would spend an additional $10,000 or so on an ELECTRIC VEHICLE if they ONLY intend to continue buying gas for it?
Or are you trying to prove you're as ignorant as CP?
There is a new tech called "Free Cooling" . Basically geothermal.. It is hot for investment! Incredibly efficient to use the natural heat sink of the Earth, until we melt the crust on the Flat Triangular Flying Dorito Earth. It's perfect for a warming Northern Hemisphere.Cannonpointer » 26 Aug 2025, 7:55 am » wrote: ↑ If this we the shrubbie bush administration, you wouldn't sound as silly. But it's 2025.

I got news for you. Trump will not impregnate you phooking you in the azz.
Drill Baby Drill is a killer. The Prius fights it. You should be pee nutted out of this gallery.

Usually I drive my favorite truck 1996 F-250 Power Stroke if I'm not going too far......heavy metal....uses lots of diesel...just had the suspension rebuilt....wouldn't even know it if I hit a shoe box on a skateboard

All I've done is made a simple and basic point. A vehicle with an electric motor is an EV, just as Toyota calls it. I didn't make up the fact that they advertise it as a PHEV, they did! And that stands for a Plug-in Hybrid ELECTRIC VEHICLE. And it makes no difference whether it's the best or the worst car on the market today.*Huey » 26 Aug 2025, 5:38 pm » wrote: ↑ Zeets, Buddy, take the L on this one. A hybrid is an ICE vehicle. i dont have a ply for it, nor did I for the other 2.
EV Mode, or Electric Vehicle Mode, allows a hybrid car to run solely on its electric battery for short distances at low speeds, providing a quiet, emission-free driving experience. You typically activate it by pressing an "EV" button on the dashboard, and the vehicle will only use electric power until the battery is depleted, the engine is needed for more power, or you exceed a certain speed (often around 25 mph). It's best for urban environments, parking lots, and residential areas where low-speed, quiet operation is beneficial
Care to explain what the naming of a car's acronym as Toyota has done to call the Prius a PHEV has anything to do with Trump?JohnnyYou » 27 Aug 2025, 1:13 am » wrote: ↑ Have you ever heard of regenerative braking? Best of both worlds, plug it in or fill it up. It's awesome tech. The Planetary Gear in the drive is a marvel of engineering. Again, you guys hate tech.
At least you figured out it's not 100% EV. I rented a Hybrid Van. It did not have the Prius tech. It was totally stupid and Made in America.. All the 10K$ battery did was get me a good parking spot at the empty charging spots.
Reducing emmisions is essential for the kids future man. 35GT a year of CO2 into the air a year has environmental anthropogenic ramifications. Kudos to the people who can afford to help fight climate change. Other than the battery change, the Prius is very low cost maintenance.
You coudn't balance an equation if you even knew what one was Zeets for Brains. You have a PhD in MAGAmethics. Rich Richer = Poor Poorer = Good! Logic say NOT!

Did I deny that it was a hybrid, asshole?Cannonpointer » 26 Aug 2025, 11:42 am » wrote: ↑ I'm saying it runs on gas. I don't plug it in like you say.
Everyone knows that a hybrid and an EV are two different cars. You're playing stupid because you're embarrassed.
Sure, queer. It is LITERALLY IN THE OP - but I will dickslap you with it again.
That's what my Prius was. Not an EV, as you called it.

If the 2026 Prius isn’t fuel-efficient enough, Toyota also offers the 2026 Prius Plug-In Hybrid (PHEV). Formerly known as the Prius Prime, the PHEV version shares a stylish hatchback body and interior features with the standard Prius but gains a larger battery and more powerful electric motor that provide all-electric driving range.
Embarrassed???

The Prius PHEV can operate in EV, Auto EV/HV, or Hybrid Mode depending on the driver’s needs and the vehicle’s state of EV battery charge. EV Mode relies solely on the vehicle’s battery when there is sufficient charge and functions just like any other Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV) without support from the gasoline engine. When in Auto EV/HV Mode, the vehicle will still primarily rely on the vehicle’s battery to drive the wheels but will switch to HV mode to provide additional power in more demanding circumstances, like up steep hills or at higher speeds. In Hybrid Mode, the Prius Plug-in automatically switches between the gasoline engine and the electric motors to efficiently combine the engine drive force and the electric power from the hybrid battery.
I never said it was a "100% EV", did I?JohnnyYou » 27 Aug 2025, 1:13 am » wrote: ↑ Have you ever heard of regenerative braking? It takes energy to slow down a vehicle.
