Fact Check: Biden Misleads on Job “Creation” Statistics
President Biden released a statement in response to the May jobs figures praising his Administration’s so-called job creation numbers. Biden’s White House tweeted that they have added more jobs under his watch than any President has in a single four-year term.
These claims are misleading. Here’s why.
- Recovery versus “Creation.” Nearly 72 percent of all job gains since 2021 were simply jobs that were being recovered from the pandemic, not new job creation. In fact, when looking at today’s economy compared to pre-pandemic levels, employment is up only by 3.7 million.
- On the other hand, prior to the pandemic, job creation under President Trump was 6.7 million—3 million more jobs than the current President.

All you need to do is to get it through your thick head that when an employee who is laid off due to a government mandate and goes back to the same job once that mandate is lifted, IS NOT A NEW HIRE FOR A NEW JOB!
The ONLY reason to do so is to falsely inflate the job creation numbers when Biden allowed them to return to work!
Biden's original statement was that the pandemic business shutdown would only last 4 to 6 weeks. Had that been the case, would you still stupidly believe that those jobs the workers were returning to could be called "new jobs"?
When the president FORCES you to leave your job, he doesn't get to claim to you returned to a "NEW" job when he allows those people to go back to work!
