As of August 2025, eight people have been arrested and charged in connection with the Bibb County, Alabama, sex trafficking ring. Many have pleaded not guilty, and a gag order has since been placed on the case.
Those charged are:
Andres Velazquez-Trejo: Confirmed by the Department of Homeland Security as a Sureños gang member, he is accused of being a primary organizer of the abuse. According to court documents, he allegedly sold sex abuse of the children to "various clientele".
William Chase McElroy: One of the first three arrested, he is accused of multiple counts of human trafficking, rape, sodomy, and kidnapping.
Rebecca Brewer: The mother of four of the ten victims, she faces charges including sexual torture, rape, sodomy, kidnapping, and human trafficking.
Ricky Terrell: He and Rebecca Brewer face additional charges of first-degree rape and sexual torture of a child younger than 12. He is also charged with human trafficking, sexual torture, and rape.
Sara Louise Terrell: Charged with rape, sodomy, human trafficking, and sexual torture.
Dalton Terrell: Charged with rape, sodomy, human trafficking, and kidnapping.
Timothy St. John: An associate of the others, he is charged with rape, sodomy, and human trafficking.
Olivia Shailee Elam: Charged with multiple counts of rape, sodomy, kidnapping, human trafficking, and sexual torture/abuse.
According to an investigator's testimony, Sara Terrell and Olivia Elam were named by a victim as having participated in the abuse. The investigation is ongoing, and authorities believe more suspects may be involved.
