Kirk frequently claimed that college was a scam. He encouraged people not to go. I agree somewhat. There are definitely degrees that have no business being actual degrees...such as 19th century Russian Studies. Many degrees offered leave students hanging out to dry...no job with insurmountable debt.

However, he quotes a lot of stats. He cites many researchers/scientists ranging from social sciences to the physical sciences. But those researchers went to college/universities.

Question: Did he think all degrees were a scam? I never figured that out.

There are/were literally 100's of Charlie's videos on YouTube, I think he can answer better than I can.

I tried. The closest I found is a girl who asked him about AI degrees. Kirk never really answered it. He danced around the question.

I do recall a video or two where he was talking about it and asked the crowd how many people were forced to take classes that had nothing to do with their major.

Here is an interesting article on the topic

Your article quoted Charlie saying this, which answers my question. Thank you, sir.
“I would say, very bluntly, that maybe if you want to become a doctor or a lawyer or an accountant or an engineer — which, by the way, is a huge minority of people that go to colleges — maybe you should go to college but pick the right one,” Kirk continued. “But the vast majority of kids, the vast majority of kids that go to college, shouldn’t be there at all.”
You see @Blackvegetable  . When you actually read something, instead of strikethroughing, you will observe that your questions are answered. If you do, you will stop embarrassing yourself.

Of course not.
He does make a good point though, $1.8 trillion in school loan debt tells a story of how college isn't for everyone.
I owned my first home before my highschool buddies graduated.

I agree with 90% of what is saying. Colleges/universities scam people. I was just wondering his view about STEM degrees , such as engineering or med school. I wouldn't want a team building a bridge or homes knowing that their skill level is from watching a bunch of Youtube videos or Kahn Academy.

College is a scam unless yer a non-leftist adult.  One common thread that runs through grade school, high school, and college.

They're all daycare centers for the left.

No, I would want someone  experienced in building bridges....your college graduate joins a company and learns how to build a bridge.

Well no ****. I didn't think that I would need to say that the grads would be working for a company. That is self-evident.

What is the purpose of a college degree?

Is it to become educated... then employable?
Or just to become educated?
Please seat yourself.

Employable only. I'd hardly call most of them educated.

That piece of paper in his hand didn't train or teach him how to build a bridge.....which was my point.
