I am registered Republican dick wad.  I have a lot of admiration for Larry Hogan who was a Republican Governor in our Blue State advocating fiscal conservatism. I actually switched to the Republican Primary for his second election to make sure he got to the general and he did win a second term. He was admired by Democrats and Republicans at his performance and had great approval ratings. I did not like everything he did, but he did do Maryland right and left with a 4 Billion dollar surplus.  He could have dumped some more money into Baltimore, his preference was to lock them all up and MD Dems would not go for it.

I am going to go back to  the Democratic Primary  to vote against Wes Moore in 2026 for Governor.  I hope you remember I tried to keep him from becoming the Next Obama. Wes Moore has done nothing to  get Baltimore out of 3rd World Status.

My party affiliation is only associated with the primary. If I could vote in the primary as an independent with rank choice voting I think better leaders could be elected and would be my preference. The primaries are closed to democrat or republican. Once the primary is over I vote for the best of the worst choices. I threw every Niki Haley lever I could at MAGA along with 10% of the Republicans here in MD in 2024 in the primary. It was impossible for me to even consider the Mango MAGAmaiacal Mad Man.

Take a look around, see where we are. I can point a finger at Joe and the Fed for my job collapsing due to interest rates and people wouldn't get loans to buiild facilities.. I can point a finger at Trump for the trade war and economic uncertainty leading to the failure of the enterprise. I can also point internally to leadership at the Global Company for poor decsions for our small toown chunk of the global refriigeration pie.
