You could do more. Like not vote for people that wreck global economies with trade wars.

Smoot Hawley  Tariff  Act of the 1930s  didn't  work.

All they have done is amplify global uncertainty  and it is killing our country.

The U.S. Treasury has only done this four times since 1996. This isn’t about Milei—it’s about preventing a Latin American financial implosion that could ripple into U.S. markets.

Argentina was facing acute illiquidity, according to Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent. The peso was collapsing, bond markets were seizing, and capital flight was accelerating. If that’s not urgent, what is?

The real pain for farmers stems from global commodity volatility and trade realignments—not Argentina’s bailout. In fact, stabilizing Argentina could help prevent further shocks in soy, corn, and beef markets where both countries compete. The swap doesn’t flood the market—it shores up Argentina’s reserves.

The Treasury’s emergency authority doesn’t vanish during a shutdown. Financial stability measures—especially those involving foreign exchange—are carved out precisely to prevent cascading crises. The swap didn’t use congressional appropriations; it leveraged existing FX mechanisms.

Milei is a libertarian reformer trying to dismantle decades of economic mismanagement. Supporting a pro-market ally in the hemisphere isn’t cronyism—it’s strategic alignment. The IMF has already burned $50B trying to fix Argentina. This is a new approach

You should quit posting things that are just not true....

The tariff targets Chinese exports, not U.S. agricultural goods. It’s a response to China’s aggressive move to restrict rare earths and critical minerals. Farmers aren’t directly taxed China is.

You really are of a low IQ descent.

Farmers pay the tariff on Chinese imports like the rest of us. Get it through your numb skull Americans pay tariffs..  Unless someone lowers their price.

China has accelerated their goal to buy no ag products  from us.

Argentina dropped their export tax to their citizens immediately  after getting the 20 Billion campaign donation to help Miele the Facist get reelected and sold a crapload of Soybeans to China. China has not purchased a single  soybean from us in months.

It's  super bad for farmers. Super good for JD Vances Acre Trader online farm property  trading platform that markets shares of farmland globally..

Argentina  beat Trump at his own game..

Trump is discussing a bail out for farmers.  If he hasn't  given Argentina  20 billion maybe he should re align his strategy  with America First.

It wouls suck if my hard earned tax dollars supported a right wing facist leader in Argentina.. I would feel better if my dollars helped the American  farmers Trump's policies have screwed over.  Better yet, a POTUS  who doesn't  make crap decisions that waste our tax revenue in the first place would be fantastic.

DOGE..

But this bailout isn’t urgent, it’s happening at an awkward time, and critics are accusing Trump of using billions of American dollars just to prop up one of his own personal allies.“The Treasury’s decision to offer a ‘swap’ in Argentina is really a signal that Washington is willing to wield its financial tools for political purposes in ways that depart from past norms,” wrote Heidi Crebo-Rediker, a former chief economist at the State Department, and Douglas Rediker, a former US representative on the International Monetary Fund’s executive board, in a Financial Times column published on October 2.This is all while the US government is shut down, which has resulted in more than a million federal workers being furloughed or working without pay.“It is inexplicable that President Trump is propping up a foreign government, while he shuts down our own,” Democratic Sen. Elizabeth Warren of Massachusetts said in a statement on Thursday.Meanwhile, the result has been a one-two punch against American farmers from Trump’s own policies. American farmers are having a tough year, in no small part because of Trump’s bid to reshape global trade. And Argentina’s bailout inadvertently worsened their plight.
Make that 40..

Bessent says bailout for Argentina will double to boost U.S. influence in region
