I'm not supporting US troops, necessarily. I find that problematic, Constitutionally. But I am axing if you believe anything needs to be done there.
I have no more faith in a few cherry-picked kumbya vids than I do in fox news' reportage. I believe that homeless louts, "anti-fascists," and ne'er-do-wells are allowed to terrorize the public in Portland with near-absolute impunity. I would argue that Portland is a city under seige from LCD street thugs, and I will back that argument up with AI.
So my question to you is, what would YOU propose be done to correct this situation and provide a just and secure city for the responsible tax paying citizens? Do we owe them nothing at all - just join their local government in saying **** 'em?
I could pontificate and bumble through a few “fund and train local police” ideas I guess
kick around a few ideas about how to hold the locals accountable for allowing criminals to be released back onto the streets so often
but I will stick to what I wouldn’t do

I suppose that is both a good and an old line of inquiry. What do YOU suggest we do? I granted that I am not comfortable with what IS being done - but I also made the case that I am not comfortable with - I will use inflammatory shorthand - Portland burning.
