I got nothing against true "Canadien" Canuck drivers they know how handle their rigs with class and know winter driving in snow and ice too..

Where Canada screws up is Immigration Laws are "Lax"

You seem "rational" so heres the "Low-Down" on Beef Prices..

Ranching country out in the western states have been in a "sustained" drought going on 10/15 years.

No rain means less open range feed so ranchers have to turn to higher priced grain feed to supplement loss of open range feed.

During Covid years things really busted loose in Ranching Country and now we have the lowest Beef Steer herd count since the 1950s/1960s era we "Boomers" were potty training last time beef cattle herd was that low but USA hadda population roughly 170/180 million people or HALF todays population of 330/360 million..

Add injury 2 insult for our own "Producers" last 30 years or so been massive Big Corporate consolidation in Slaughtering and Meat Packing industry..

Big Corporate Meat companies like Cargill, JBS, Tyson Foods etcetera have bought out most the smaller players and collude to Fix Prices for cattle squeezing our Farmers and  ranchers killing off and consolidation killed the competion so only a handful of Big players remain and fix prices

I did a load up 25 to Greely afew years back but it was Dark late night but I could still smell the stench then I hadda deadhead back west of Denver pickup at a Paper Plant for Salt Lake City..

 Minneapolis has a garbage burning facility that's been operating for decades...some greenies are pushing for its closure as it's "the worst polluter in Minneapolis"...

now think, there's no context in their statement...

the reality is between 700-800 garbage trucks from the metro dump there every day...

where are those trucks gonna go? To a landfill...there isn't a landfill anywhere near Minneapolis, so they're gonna have to drive 30+ miles to dump. A wasted hour multiplied by number of truck emptying in a day...less efficient for time, so trucks would need to be added to compensate...

more wear and tear on roads
more fuel burned
more pollution 

this is just another virtue signaled feel good thingy perpetuated by greenies...**** idiots...

In 18 years of driving commercial rigs, I only spent 30 days OTR so don't have much experience with foreign drivers. I would see one every once in awhile if they drove on my limited route.

When I was OTR didn't see them too much but that was a lil while back.  As a working as a fleet manager and shipping manager for a major company I see them a lot.  I have a lot of eastern European drivers with little to no language skills.

Truthfully, I started getting a little froggy towards the end. There were a few times that came a little too close to going up in a fireball! Two drivers I knew didn't fair so well.
