The board of Tesla is considering a trillion dollar pay package for Musk to incentivize him to focus completely on Tesla. Currently Tesla is valued more than all of the automakers combined. Many high-ranking employees have vehemently question why?

Teslas are not superior cars. Their EV competitors have outperformed them on almost every metric.

Riddle me this: How does an EV company that is inferior to their competition have a value that is worth more than these competitors combined? It's like motel 8 being worth more than all the 5-star hotels combined.

I never hear about how inferior a Tesla is from owners. People that I know, that is.
They seem pretty happy with the things.

The one big gripe is that Teslas have been around so long their styling is getting old.
That's hardly an "inferior" car commentary. Just the opposite in fact.
Please seat yourself.

The Tesla crowd is cult-like. They are under some weird trance. Tesla didn't even appear in the the top 5 rankings. The EVs are ranked through "J.D. Power “U.S. Electric Vehicle Experience (EVX) Ownership Study." The total a company can get, with their metrics, is 1000 pts. The BMW iX is number 1 with 790/1000. Tesla was somewhere below 500. They were near the bottom.

My neighbor has a Tesla. Not a trance type guy at all.
He'd bitch about it in a quick second if he had something to bitch about.
I guess he satisfied with it.

Probably because he has never had anything else to compare it to.

Perhaps. Partly because there wasn't much to compare it to for a while.
Manufacturers learn from the prior builds out there in the field.
Makes sense that the next generation would be better than original Teslas.

Why do you think the Japs eclipsed American builders decades ago?

EVs were around before Tesla. They just didn't have the massive startup funding and capital to grow. Tesla was able to secure funds from the bailout in 2009. Our money. That's the only way they were able to get up and running. It also should be noted that contrary to what Musk claims, he was not the founder of Tesla. He came later. He was able to push out the CEO and management after the company was established. He is good at being an unscrupulous twat.

Despite rolling back "E/V" tax credits in "Big Beautiful Bill" Tesla Deliveries still out-performed the anticipated drop with rolling back Tax Subsidies..

Elon Musk also runs Star Link and a Space Company too..

Now the original "Trillion" Dollar compensation Deal 4 Elon Musk was "Sued" by "Share-Holders" and blocked in Court..

Now fast forward a restructuring after E/V tax credits "Gone" and Tesla Stock swings up & down like Bitcoin or Crypto..

Who knows

Thats another problem with Automotive Industry too
.

We have "Teched" them up so much they cost as much as a house for just a basic car..

I remember growing up old Dodges and Fords

Pop the Hood was a V-8 318 motor a battery and a radiator ya had space to work too

Old Chiltons or Haines manual a toolbox call your buddies over a case of beer order some pizza we got a "Beater" with a "Heater" road worthy too

Today its all computer chipped "Sensors" all this Technology Crap imbedded.

Today other than Battery, Brake Pads, and Oil Changes ya cant even "Work" on them anymore because a Computer or Sensor freezes ya gotta have it towed 2 a shop who has right computer and your paycheck fix a stupid sensor or some crap

I don't need a history lesson on it. Musk didn't invent ****.
Our stupid government funded all sorts of ****. EV is one of them.
Musk took advantage of that on a huge scale.

You know what he did that salvages him or separates him from complete douchebaggary?
He dismantled a twitter stranglehold.
All it took was a few billion dollars that nobody else would have forked over. That's worth brownie points.
Maybe he made money doing that... I don't care.

Progs and libs are not untouchable anymore.
Their douchebaggary has needed a kick in the pubic mound for a long time.

So we subsidized a guy who took some of that money and kicked ****.

I guess. I blame the fact that Americans are stupid, generally speaking. If Americans knew how to critically think, then they would have the mindfulness to make their own decisions instead of using social media or the mainstream media to think for them...like @Blackvegetable . He is a perfect example that one can go to an Ivy league school and still have zero thoughts of their own.

Yup. I know you (and a couple others) like to go back and forth with the little weasel.
Even I have told him about people I know "with credentials" that are **** idiots.
Does he retain that info? Of course not. Just calling me stupid will suffice for him.
Having dealt with highly educated people for so many years kind of wears the polish of their badges.
So his chatroom champ stuff ain't too intimidating when I can hold my own quite easily with university professors.
...and I have never told anyone here my educational level trying to "win". That **** is for children.

Anyone with the ability to recite a teacher's or professor's line right back to them can get grades.
Then magically you are edumacated and get a receipt (diploma) for having that ability.

Some people actually do become educated. Many really do not.
Those are the ones that tell you how smart they are. :ninja:
