I thought this hadda do with "Trade Wars"..

Canadas Econonomy has already Slashed like a 100 thousand jobs and on a "Per Capita" basis Canada has like 3O million People America has like 330/360 millon over Ten Times bigger

Now Calgary or Alberta sits on the "Atabasken" Tar Sands like the the 3rd or 4th largest Oil Reserves behind only like Arabia , Russia, and Venezuela..

Our "Economies" Interlinked too they take more than they give America back in return..

But "Massive Oil" sitting on our own very continent next door up North in Canada..

I'm surprised all of the provinces other than Ontario and Quebec haven't pushed for it...

Yes but that sits under Canadas "Sovereign "Territory"..

Past trade Deals with Canada and they Imported a large chunk of our Auto Industry..

I used have an old 1988/1989 Buick Regal Sedan..

Buick is "GM" General Motors an "American" Company..

On the door sticker my Buick said made in "Oshawa Ontario" and a Canada Maple Leaf Sticker

Today I got a 2015 Jeep Partiot the door sticker says made in "Belvedere Illinios" the USA Flag sticker

Belvedere Illinois is outside Rockford Illinois about 40/50 miles nothwest of Chicago.

People are under the misconception that where a car is built is crucial to supporting that country.
In the long run the profit on the sale goes back to motherland. Where is the headquarters?
That's where most of profit on the sale ends up.
A Toyota built in Kentucky is supporting a Japanese company.
A Buick built in Canada is supporting a US company.
Locals do reap the rewards of jobs and the ripple economy, however. And it's great PR.

You're correct, the motherland always wins...even more so with cheap labor...the rest is just lip service...

Think Im supporting "America" half the parts came from Asia whatever or Mexico ...

My Jeep was Assembled in Illinois a USA tag on the door with the "Serial Number"

The Assembly line here USA or the Old  Buick ya assembled in Oshawa Ontario up in Canada..

Ya dont really know what ya buying either..

American Cars/Pickups made In Canada or Mexico..

How they keep count is how many parts the content..

In trucking run back & forth Michigan, Indiana , Ohio to "Laredo Texas" a border crossing point and  Customs Papers the parts..

Woodhaven Michigan and Detroit was the Canada Side off that too..

What never made sense 2 me Parts made in America but loaded up thrucked to Canada or Mexico they assemble the car  .

Do you have any idea how expensive and complex it is to assemble cars?
You don't just pick up and move an assembly plant on a whim.

Why did Chrysler buy out ""AMC"

Test your Knowledge here too..

What Speciffically did "Lee Iacoca" see in early 1980s after Chrysler itself borrowed Billions in "Federal Loans"..

Lee Iaccoa previously worked for "Ford" in Detroit help design the "Mustang" back in the 1960s..

The last Days of Kenosha Automotive Manufacturing was making Chrysler and Dodge
