Yeah, they're REALLY going to suffer getting that $12 billion in aid that we've reaped from Trump's tariffs as soon as Schumer gets tired of seeing his approval numbers sink into the toilet and reopens the government, huh? That $12 billion is just a small percentage of the hundreds of billions Trump's tariffs will bring in this year, and farmers are already beginning to sell their existing harvest of soybeans to China.
Apparently, you wouldn't know a good deal if it kicked you in your empty head!

The Trump administration plans to roll out an initial payment of up to $12 billion for farmers hurt by the president’s tariff policies once the government shutdown ends, according to three people familiar with the matter.The finalized amount will come on top of President Donald Trump’s recently announced truce with China, which could also give some relief to U.S. producers of soybeans, sorghum and meat.Sen. John Hoeven (R-N.D.) told reporters Thursday that a Market Facilitation Program — similar to the $28 billion farmer bailout Trump issued during his first-term trade wars — is “all teed up and good to go.”“That’s being held up by the shutdown,” Hoeven added.

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (KCRG) - Farmers say they’re pleased with President Donald Trump’s agricultural trade deal with China’s leader Xi Jinping.China has agreed to purchase 25 million metric tons of U.S. soybeans annually as part of an agreement reached by its leaders, Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said Thursday.As part of the deal, China will purchase 12 million metric tons of soybeans from the U.S. between now and January.The Iowa Soybean Association (ISA) said the deal is encouraging for Iowa soybean farmers, who rely on open market access to stay competitive.Tom Adam, President of ISA and a farmer from Harper, said he’s grateful that Trump is prioritizing soybeans in negotiations.“Today’s announcement addresses many of the concerns around market access to China following months of stalled purchases and uncertainty,” Adam said in a press release. “This is great news for American agriculture and for soybean farmers who have been eager to reestablish a stable and long-term relationship that positions us for success moving forward.”
