Yeah, there are definitely inconsistencies in the Old Testament. There is a huge misinterpretation of the Jews being God's people. It's not how the modern people interpret it.jerrab » 03 Nov 2025, 12:54 pm » wrote: ↑ unfortunately some will never admit it. because supposedly God gave israel to the jews as in the old testament.
and lord knows how I have tried to show that the old testament is not infallible, not written by God, because one verse it says for noah to take all animals by 2's and in another verse only some animals by 2's and some animals by 7's.
God would not have said such a descrepancy.
I would not complain but the idea that God gave israel to the jews is causing so much misery and some people just will not listen

There are orthodox Jews in America and in Britain who vehemently condemn Israel. They practice true Judaism. They try to distant themselves from the actions of Israel claiming that Israel does not represent the true God in the bible. To them Israel is not from God. However, unfortunately there are not very many true Jewish Orthodox organizations, and most are too afraid to speak out.jerrab » 03 Nov 2025, 12:59 pm » wrote: ↑ ask rog- he believes it.
many other christians believe it as well.
the jews take advantage of it.
Condescending horse ****......I only need to go back 2 years to 10/7 to witness genocide, though the terrorists have launched over 10,000 missiles at women and children in Israel over the last few decades and bombed busses and restaurants.Vegas » 03 Nov 2025, 10:40 am » wrote: ↑ here is thing, Rebel. Something tells me that you could be front and center of these atrocities and you still would say "But they deserve it. They shoot rockets at Israel." Though I have educated you many times behind that history, it wouldn't matter to you.
I literally just said that this is exactly what you would say....and ignore the history that I provided.RebelGator » 03 Nov 2025, 1:42 pm » wrote: ↑ Condescending horse ****......I only need to go back 2 years to 10/7 to witness genocide, though the terrorists have launched over 10,000 missiles at women and children in Israel over the last few decades and bombed busses and restaurants.

God man. Seriously. At least make an effort to be original.
You have ignored all the simple facts I gave you about before 10/7. You still think that attack happened in a vacuum. Your denial of facts is not my problem. Figure it out.RebelGator » 03 Nov 2025, 1:47 pm » wrote: ↑ I'll keep pounding the simple facts in your head until they register, if I'm redundant, that's your fault.
I understand you're pissed because Israel reacted to an unprovoked attack against women and children at a music festival by destroying the scum that initiated it......why, I don't know.Vegas » 03 Nov 2025, 1:50 pm » wrote: ↑ You have ignored all the simple facts I gave you about before 10/7. Judaism, Christianity, and Islam all trace their roots to Abraham, and the Hebrew Bible (Old Testament) contains multiple references to God promising the land of Israel to Abraham and his descendants (Genesis 15:18, Deuteronomy 1:8)jerrab » 03 Nov 2025, 12:54 pm » wrote: ↑ I would not complain but the idea that God gave israel to the jews is causing so much misery and some people just will not listen
Jesus affirmed the Law, saying He came to fulfill it, not abolish it (Matthew 5:17).“Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them. For truly, I say to you, until heaven and earth pass away, not an iota, not a dot, will pass from the Law until all is accomplished.”
Regarding my perspective, the contributions I have made in this thread reinforce my views on this subject.

Yes, Jesus said that not one iota or dot would pass from the Law until all is accomplished, affirming the enduring significance of the Old Testament.
This statement comes from Matthew 5:17–18, part of the Sermon on the Mount:
Jesus affirmed the Law, saying He came to fulfill it, not abolish it (Matthew 5:17).
