Judaism, Christianity, and Islam all trace their roots to Abraham, and the Hebrew Bible (
Old Testament) contains multiple references to God promising the land of Israel to Abraham and his descendants (Genesis 15:18, Deuteronomy 1:8)
Yes, Jesus said that not one iota or dot would pass from the Law until all is accomplished, affirming the enduring significance of the Old Testament.
This statement comes from
Matthew 5:17–18, part of the Sermon on the Mount:
Jesus affirmed the Law, saying He came to fulfill it, not abolish it (Matthew 5:17).
oh please don't get in an arguement with me about one line.
Christ abolished the law of an eye for an eye- the law about not working on the sabbath, he said men were to have only one life and said to not hate our enemies, contrary to the law of moses.
