The BBB is the law in the land, certain legal immigrants will have to figure out healthcare on their own and not on the federal tax payer dime.

Elections have consequences, Shummer will have to hold out another 3 years to get his way.

Or the Republicans will cave which is possible.

Money for PBS and NPR just isn't going to happen!
But is ANY of that the cause for the shutdown?

It is from the sources I read.

Simple question: what do you think Shummer wants $1.4 trillion for. Your sources must say something different.

Senator Schumer has been associated with a push for about $1.4 trillion to $1.5 trillion in new spending during a government shutdown standoff, which he wanted to use for various Democratic priorities, including funding government agencies, extending certain subsidies, and providing healthcare for undocumented immigrants.

These demands were presented as an alternative to a "clean continuing resolution" that would maintain current spending levels and prevent a government shutdown.

Breakdown of spending requests

Government funding: The funds were intended to keep government agencies operating and were part of a larger package that included funding for government agencies, though opponents argued it was more than necessary.

Healthcare for undocumented immigrants:

A portion of the funding was specifically allocated to cover healthcare costs for undocumented immigrants.

Other programs:

Other demands included permanently extending COVID-era subsidies, restoring funding for NPR and PBS, and other measures that opponents characterized as "far-left wish list" items.

SO... YOU need to talk to your Democrat friends... THEY are responsible for the shut down, NOT Republicans !!
AMERICA, and AMERICANS, NEED to WAKE up… There is NOTHING “Democratic” about the CURRENT American “Democrat Party”! THEY are more an amalgamation of Totalitarian Marxists, Socialists, Communists, and Globalists… who are BENT on TAKING, and then KEEPING power... & where ultimately the American PEOPLE will have NO SAY AT ALL in how we are GOVERNED... and our "Democracy" will be DEAD!!

Look up which parts of the BBB Shummer wanted to recind. Then ask yourself why.

Existing U.S. law already barred undocumented (illegal) immigrants from receiving most federally-funded health care coverage, such as Medicaid and Affordable Care Act (ACA) subsidies.
The provisions in the OBBBA related to health care primarily focused on:
Codifying and reinforcing existing exclusions: The OBBBA explicitly reinforced the 1996 Personal Responsibility and Work Opportunity Reconciliation Act (PRWORA) restrictions, ensuring that individuals without verified citizenship or a satisfactory immigration status are ineligible for federal benefits.
Targeting lawfully present immigrants:
The primary impact of the OBBBA's health care provisions was on certain categories of lawfully present immigrants (such as refugees, asylees, and humanitarian parolees) who were previously eligible for some benefits or could receive ACA subsidies. The bill removed these groups from eligibility for Medicaid, Medicare, the Children's Health Insurance Program (CHIP), and ACA Marketplace premium tax credits.
Enhancing verification systems:
The bill required stricter eligibility verification for federal programs, including requiring a Social Security number for those claiming refundable tax credits, making it harder for ineligible individuals to improperly receive benefits.

Reducing federal matching funds to states: It cut the federal matching rate for states that provide emergency Medicaid services to undocumented immigrants, a measure intended to discourage state-level coverage expansion.

Eliminating the ACA "special rule":
It repealed a specific ACA provision that allowed certain low-income lawfully present immigrants (who were otherwise ineligible for Medicaid due to a five-year waiting period) to qualify for premium subsidies, thereby creating a coverage gap for these individuals.

Guess you'll never know, will you?

Are you admitting that you stupidly believed the hundreds of Obama lies about keeping your doctor, keeping your healthcare insurance, and saving $2500 a year?

So apparently, those obvious lies were enough for dopes like you to vote for Obamacare, but when you had the opportunity to repeal it and give Trump the chance to give you a better plan as he promised, THAT you REFUSED to believe, didn't you?

Looks to me like you got the plan you wanted from your beloved Democrats, so blame THEM for the mess that Obamacare has become, exactly as Trump and every Republican told you would happen!  But now you think you can force Trump and the Republican party to continue throwing good money after bad by ignoring the law that had the Obamacare subsidies expiring? FORGET IT!  Either repeal that **** plan and give Trump and the Republicans the responsibility to come up with something better, OR SHUT THE **** UP AND ACCEPT WHAT YOUR PARTY OF LYING SCUMBAGS GAVE YOU!

Why don't you admit that you'd LOVE that opportunity to belittle Trump for doing that?
Are you so dumb that you don't think that Trump and the Republican party could immediately put together a better plan without the input of idiot liberals like you who insist that it also include illegals and refugees in perpetuity?

If you weren't scared **** that Trump would formulate a better plan than Obamacare, YOU'D BE ALL FOR IT!
But your primary fear is that Trump will succeed again, and you'd hate that REGARDLESS of how much better it was for the country!  That's what your insane hatred for Trump has done to you, and is a classic symbol of your terminal case of TDS!

Even though California has admitted to using federal funds for illegals, you still don't believe it, I can't change that.

Medicaid cuts are are very much part of the shutdown.

I have a dot plotter too, it's just doesn't involve Jews!

Marxist, Socialist, Communist, SCUMBAGS are SO terrified of Trump and his GUTTING of the Deep State... THEY'RE grasping at STRAWS !  Leticia James and Scumbag Jim Comey are trying to FIGHT the appointment (replacement) of the new lead prosecutor for the Eastern Virginia Office... Lindsey Haligan !!  That was an office that had been BOUGHT and PAID For by Liberal Democrats for YEARS... but NOT anymore !!  NOW, it has been effectively GUTTED, and ALL the corrupt prosecutors have been FIRED and REPLACED... and are NO LONGER PROTECTING entrenched Liberals Democrats and CORRUPT Political SCUMBAGS...

SO NOW... THEY (James and Comey) are fighting the appointment of the new lead prosecutor, and overhaul of the Eastern Virginia prosecutors office... RATHER than sticking to the LAW, and the CHARGES that have been brought against them...
HA!!  THAT'S kinda like going into court, and saying..."I'm not guilty because the corrupt judges that were protecting me have been REPLACED" !!

GOOD LUCK with THAT NOISE !!

I say that it was approved by both houses of Congress and signed into law by the President who was elected by the majority.

Apparently, you don't LIKE living in a Democratic Republic and demand that left-wing liberal Democrat stupidity in the minority wins out as the law of the land.
Isn't that EXACTLY what you are now demanding with the Schumer shutdown?
