• Temperature: The ambient air temperature must be at or below -40°C (-40°F), which is a common condition at the cruising altitudes of jets (around 25,000 to 35,000 feet).
• Humidity: There must be enough moisture in the atmosphere for the ice crystals to form. If the upper atmosphere is very dry, contrails will be short-lived or not form at all.
• Aircraft exhaust: The exhaust from the aircraft provides the necessary water vapor and carbon particles for the ice crystals to form around.

AS SUCH, as a child, I was ever looking skyward, fantasizing about where those jets were headed and wishing that I was on them. My attention was on the sky.

It was not until I was in my late thirties that I observed chemtrails that lingered and dropped a visible payload.
