MAGAs, you won't like this, but Trump squandered his presidency in a year. He is tanking.

Fun Facts.
Conservatives wants to sunset SS.
They have been discussing it for years and doing everything they can to bankrupt it.

Debunking your Fun Facts:

No official Republican party platform aims to sunset Social Security, though a past proposal by a single senator led to widespread political claims that they did.

Origin of the "Sunset" Claim
The Rick Scott Proposal:
In 2022, Senator Rick Scott (R-FL) released an 11-point rescue plan containing a general statement that all federal legislation should sunset after five years unless explicitly renewed by Congress

One insect can be an infestation.

Key Figures and Proposals Related to Entitlement "Sunsetting" or Reauthorization
  • Senator Rick Scott (R-FL): Authored the original 5-year sunset proposal for all federal legislation, which critics argued included Social Security. He subsequently amended the language to explicitly exclude Social Security and Medicare from the sunset provision. [1, 2, 3, 4]
  • Senator Ron Johnson (R-WI): Suggested shifting entitlement programs like Social Security and Medicare from mandatory spending to discretionary spending, which would force Congress to reauthorize funding on an annual basis rather than keeping the programs on autopilot. [1]
  • Senator Mike Lee (R-UT): Faced past criticism from political opponents after historical video comments resurfaced showing him expressing long-term goals to phase out or significantly alter federal entitlement programs like Social Security and Medicare. [1, 2]
  • Republican Study Committee (RSC): While stopping short of a complete "sunset" of the program, various RSC budget proposals advanced by House conservatives have routinely recommended structural adjustments, such as raising the retirement age and modifying benefit calculations for future generations to address long-term trust fund insolvency. [1, 2]

Congress has known for 40 plus years that SS would eventually become insolvent and not be able to pay full benefits. Shame on people for actually trying to stop the train wreck?

Removing the Social Security payroll tax cap—which limits taxable wages to $184,500 in 2026—would significantly boost federal revenue, close roughly two-thirds of the program's long-range financial deficit, and push back the projected depletion of the trust funds by over two decades

//////The Social Security tax cap (taxable maximum) is $184,500. Raising or eliminating this limit is a primary proposal to address the program's funding shortfall, which is projected to face reserve depletion in the early 2030s. Under current law, the cap automatically adjusts each year based on average wage indices

Right now, the Social Security tax is capped at $184,500.
Meaning if you're a construction worker, you pay Social Security on 100% of your income.
But if you're raking in millions, you only pay Social Security on a fraction of your income.
That’s not right.

You may think it's not right but is current law.

Again, eliminate the cap and you eliminate the max benefit.

Can you explain why you think a high earner needs a $13k to $25k monthly SS check?

From what I have seen written, the **** paid her a tremendous amount of money to lie and invent her story.

It's 1000% UNSUBSTANIATED and was designed to harm Kavanaugh's chances of confirmation. PERIOD!!

Sucks for these IDIOTS that they spent a ton of cash and got JACK **** in return. It was EASY to see past the lies, which really, is all they have left.
