I bought that same 5 pound bag of potatoes for .97 at Walmart a few days ago. Potatoes weren't on the shopping list but at that price I can throw them all away if not eaten. Definitely a good deal.

Russet Potato prices have come down. For awhile there, they were .99 each, then went to $1.29 - $1.49 a pound, now back down to .89/pound.

Food is still expensive and I don't expect a lot of items to see large price reductions.
