Could be...however,

Florida has one of the highest proportions of retirees in the U.S. (about 21% of its population is 65+). Retirees consume goods and services but generally don’t contribute to production through wages or business activity. 

States like New York and Massachusetts have higher shares of working-age adults in professional, finance, tech, and healthcare sectors. That boosts total output per person.

GDP is divided by the total population, not just the working population. So, if a state has more retirees, the denominator (population) is larger relative to the numerator (economic output), which drags down GDP per capita.

Evidently, 39,000 people a month. That's how many moves to fl. Many thousands to Texas and NC too. They are coming from those... ....   14 states. Wonder why they would be leaving a state with a higher GDP?

Lower Crime rates than red states, more educated workers, better education opportunities.  Less child sex traficking rings, more dollars into the fed than taken out.  Less welfare recipients and governement funded health care.

And no Goat Brothels for a Qatarai Military Base.

Basically less  American dumb azz  losers than red states who are blinded into the biggest rip off of their governement feeding tube.

You focus on one tiny sqaure millimeter of the big picture Seven. You look at current values and ignore trends and slopes. It sure looks like ICE has a crapload of work to do in Florida.
