Congress spends the tax dollars. Legislative branch creates the laws for collecting taxes regardless which level of governance in the United States from town halls, city councils, county seats, state and federal capitol buildings. Executive just signs the legislation written by lobbyists.

My separation date is Jan 8.  I have chased one lead I really liked.  It did not come through. Rumor is we get 4 weeks severance.

It was welcome news to hear the fed lower rates this week and Jermome Powell says it does look like things will turn around in 2026.

You better hope he is right for any chance in the mide terms.  Who can believe any numbers? You didn't trust Biden, I don't trust Trump.

If nobody hires me, maybe I'll make a windmill restoration company..  I am thinking I really would like to work for myself, at the same time I saw labor numbers that companies under 50 employees are going down.  Big Corporate entities are swallowing us up ROG.

At one time I did contract to build a pnuematic launcher (I had prior experience and the company I had worked with recommended me to the UAV researchers) . The job was 15K$. The welder who had the facility to build the thing made more money per hour than me.  I got into the finishing details and spent way to many hours and would have made a better hourly rate flipping burgers.  But, I did buy a shed to start my company and got a tax break. And the testing was done in a Blimp Hangar in NJ military base.  It was a lot of fun.  The tax breaks over all were interesting that year so maybe my hourly take was better than I thought.

The waterman down here have a phrase.. ""Steal from yourself" ..   No wonder so many of them fly Trump flags. Tonging for Oysters in the freezing cold is harsh, and deadlly. Two drowned in the last two weeks in the high winds and getting blown off the boats is the  best guess.  There are nightmare historical stories.. One entire crew was found holding hands floating dead one year.

a friend in business once to me, if your paying in to taxes year end, you're making, err reporting too much income...it's all about write offs...

 I ran a sole proprietorship for 20 years...rarely showed an income...

Sole Propietorships are fitted and shipped out of the economy. 

Recently companies under 50 people lost 120K jobs. Companies over 500 employees gained 90K jobs.
