You better hope so.  Liquid CO2 exists at  pressure and temperatures that are incompatible with life as I know it.  I don't know about you.

But it is taken out of the atmosphere to get compressed. Technology only changes its form and when technology stops, it doesn't get compressed again into a cold solid until it evaporates into the wind currents redistributing it around the globe.

Kind of like humidity is water smaller than a drop of rain occupying more space than a drop of rain, snow, hail, dew, frost, ice, steam.
