The ORGANIC label is pretty much another government/industry scam to get more money out of people

who would have thought government and industry would collude to to such a thing?

Due to high prices in the meat arena, we've decided to get our most of our protein from local farms starting in 2026.

We already grow far more vegetables and have always done processing and canning...it a family tradition that is actually fun getting people together and doing it....give a **** ton away

time to adapt to the current worldwide conditions or suffer from it......I choose to adapt

I SHOULD be canning. But I'm not. I can't grow a garden worth a ****. I'm on nothing but shale.

But I AM buying my meat locally. I have been mixing it up, but starting in 2026, I plan to move into local meat only, except for my dog food. I'll stick with those ten pound bags of chicken quarters for the dogs, along with cheap  chicken livers I order in 40lb boxes from a local family-owned grocer at 35 bucks a box (87.5 cents a pound for pure protein).

I have a feeling you live close - likely MO. We might be able to do some trading. I would love some canned produce that isn't grown with pesticides. Do you have any need for some flat earth philosophy or other conspiracy theories? Maybe some poetry for open mic nights?

gardening is easy...I have a 40 foot row of tomatoes...there is a plant every 12 inches....same with cucumbers and cantalope10 foot row 1 plant per foot...

I was looking at a freeze dryer....but with the economy reset I'm sure there will be a lot of people looking to sell anything and everything as it rolls out.

start by collecting everyone's yard waste....

lawn clipping and leaves in one pile...free stuff

call your power company and tell them you are interested in a wood chip drop....free too

throw several cups of 12-12-12 on both piles

there's you free soil and mulch.....mark off a garden area and get a chip drop there...spread it 8 inches deep

now you are in business as far as your basic garden building from scratch....free of charge too

got questions just ask.....I got a cool way to grow yellow squash and zucchini takes very  little space with massive results
