I was thinking abpout the Edgar Cayce predictions that 2026 is the year of the ****.

People saw what was coming back then.  These MAGAnuts can't find their teeth for their stomach.

Cayce was writing fiction, based on knowledge, and it may become a reality.  The prediction includes an unexpected leader out of nowhere in the aftermath.

I gave up on novels with Netscape, But have heard bith titles recommended before.

Have you read any Erik Larson?  I really do recommend "Devil in the White City"    I think next to the Dune Trilogy in junior high it is my number one favorite read ever.  The intertwining of the 1893 Chicago Worlds Fair with HH Holmes in a hotel 5 blocks away is just a course of human events story that gives that "damn!" feeling.

I read part of White City with my daughter...the guy was from near here...
