I was born in Mn...I had a hard time leaving Mn and moving to Mt. It bothered me for years.

Now I'm glade we moved to Mt.     

It's sad to see a once thriving state to succumb to this level of political corruption. 

Las Vegas was built on corruption, so we are used to it. In fact, I doubt we would survive without it. However, it can see why it would be hard to once live in a flourishing place, then have to leave it, while seeing it crumble in your review mirror.

It's sad.  My Dad owned the Paul Bunyan Motel in Brainerd. It was right next door to the Paul Bunyan amusement Park. It's gone now.

It was "Kid Heaven".   

My Aunt and Uncle owned the Paul Bunyan Motel in Bemidji, Mn. where I was born.

Wow. That is awesome they were business owners. I have been trying to get a small business up and running for the past 5 years. But I can't get the funds. That's great your family was able to establish a business.

It was largely due to Grandpa on my Dad's side.


He helped my Dad and Aunt and Uncle get into those motels.

At one point typhoon revealed a subtle grammatical tic...and even with my paltry russian, I  called it out. Also, apparently no one had ever mentioned the fact that "typhoon" is a class of soviet submarines.....which got me swiftly escorted out of the building.
