Every time they near an agreement (which will inevitably involve a transfer of large sums of dollars to Iran), Grifty wants to get ahead of the story to spin it as Iranian submission. 

This motivates the Iranians to humble him by reminding him who isn't holding all the cards.

This will persist until someone convinces the Great Umber Dope to shut his **** face until the humiliation is official.
