A doctor friend of mine had a house fire about thirty years ago the fire department put out and saved the house except for one room.
As he said later, if that happens again I’m not calling the fire department until the roof caves in.
If they are a total loss you get a huge check.
If they have smoke damage and one room is burned it’s a nightmare.
Unfortunately, he’s reached a point where he can’t even ensure his own statement doesn’t reveal his lies.
