Good analysis. I saw that vid to with the explosive device. Another problem that I cannot reconcile is the mental disposition that is required. You hunt. However, can I assume that you have hunted before the example you gave? Also, can I safely assume that you were able to focus in a relatively quiet environment? Tyler is said to have some practice at the gun ranges. However, he wasn't a regular. This is the first time he will have killed a human being. He was on top of a roof 200 yards away. There was about 2k people making noise. The environment wasn't quiet. He had no experience in killing people. And he needed to have one clean shot...while immediately getting away afterwards. Evidently, 200 yards is not a long way. However, wouldn't these other factors, I just mentioned, play a significant role
The environment plays a crucial role in concentration; nonetheless, I contend that both silence and noise exert a comparable influence. In a quiet environment (where only the wind and the rustling of foliage can be heard), individuals often focus on maintaining silence to avoid drawing attention from their prey. On the other hand, in a loud setting, concentration is attained by filtering out the ambient noises. He needed a single, accurate shot, yet he recognized that confusion and various distractions could facilitate his escape. To my knowledge, no one observed him apart from the camera. I would argue that 200 yards is a considerable distance for a beginner. He may have been lucky, but I remain skeptical about his role as the shooter.
As you have indicated, there is a lack of experience in ending a human life. The excitement associated with tracking the target enhances this situation. It appears that both the deer and the human can be regarded as prey; nevertheless, the ramifications of ending a human life certainly play a major role in the resulting anxiety. Although I could never find it within myself to pursue a human as prey, I would not hesitate to end a life if it represented an immediate danger. I am convinced that every human possesses this instinct. It is either them or me; I refuse to be the one who falls.
