Minnesota is not required to pay for security for private schools; instead, a recent bill (SF 2480 in 2023) aimed to increase safe schools funding and create security system grants for school districts, which would include public and private entities within the definition of "school" for grant purposes, though the legislation does not mandate direct payment for private school security. Private schools in Minnesota are responsible for their own security measures, but can potentially access grants or funding programs established by the state to support safety initiatives, according to the MN Revisor's Office.

Of course i want to know why the private schools did not apply for a grant. The children’s blood is on the hands of the private school. Certainly not on Tim Walz as the OP claims. FOX news failed to mention this. That is far from fair and balanced.
