I was in a combat zone for 7 years of my career....
So, this is what I have to say to anyone who thinks my military service was not a real job.
Your tax dollars helped pay for my service. My service helped protect your ability to complain about it.
My service is the reason you still have a country to pay taxes in. If paying taxes for national defense bothers you, your issue isn’t with me, it’s with the Constitution. Military pay is a federal obligation. I fulfilled mine. You’re welcome for the return on your investment. We both paid taxes. I served. You’re welcome.
