Never, Ukraine has only two major groups of people: Ukrainian speakers and Russian speakers, and they are not divided entirely based on this difference. There are plenty of Russian speakers that would prefer to be governed by a democratically elected leader like Zelenskyy rather than a tyrant like Putin. Afghanistan is divided among ethnic groups, religious sects and languages, No government in Afghanistan has ever really controlled the entire country.
Ukraine is flat, Afghanistan is very mountainous.
Afghans are largely illiterate, Ukrainians are literate.
