Of course, they depose people behind closed doors because they do not want the witness to reveal personal details that might cause some nut to harm some member of the witnesses' family. Someone mentions a conversation with a family member or a boyfriend, girlfriend, spouse, address or some other detail that is extraneous to the case against Trump. Why behind closed door? So they can omit facts in the hearings like they've done many times before.
If it goes public then ALL transcripts that happened behind closed doors should be made public.
