When Trump said that the Secret Service should stop using the magnetometers (which reveal weapons) and wanted to lead hos riotous mob against the Capitol, he made is clear that he wanted an ARMED REBELLION against Congress.

I remember Watergate. When Dean gave his smoking gun testimony, most of the rats testified against Nixon, seeking to avoid their own prosecution.
What we have here is a similar situation.
