The first step in convicting a felonious president that has amassed a large following of aggressively ignorant and stupid followers is to present the evidence, as the J6 Committee is doing. There are a LOT of wealthy people who know that Trump is a conman, a liar and a thief, but they are concerned that the indictment, arrest and indictment, conviction and imprisonment of a former president, even a very guilty one like Trump, would disturb many of their investments in areas where withdrawal is not easily done.
At least a large number of these need to be convinced that their investments would be harmed even more by letting this vile creep get away with it.
