At most, school teachers do not tell parents to shut the **** up.
They generally point out to students that the evidence shows that the Earth is a sphere, and not flat, and that the proof that we are descended from a man who lived 6000 years ago and his wife, who was made from one of his ribs, and that we are all guilty of the sin of Adam & Eve making a poor culinary choice based on bad advice from a talking snake, is contradicted by a whole lot of evidence to the contrary.
Teachers simply teach the truth and tell students to use their minds to decide what to believe.
