I see no reason why a teacher would need to insult an ignorant parent.
At most, he would simply state what it took to be true and defend his position.
I attended twelve grades of public school and took college and university classes at seven educational institutions in seven states and two places in Mexico, and NEVER did I ever have any teacher, instructor, or professor tell me how to vote or what to think.
