It goes without saying that atrocities like that perpetrated by Hamas' sneak attack upon civilians and children resulting in mass murder and genocide are despicably unacceptable act of hate and aggression, wherever and whenever it occurs.

Indeed the list of man's cruelty and HATE for those perceived as "other" seems endless. And the condemnation of such acts is always the CORRECT response.

That being said, the Israeli-Gaza conflict (and the larger Palestinian conflict) is a long, complex, and saddening affair. Israelis have a right to exist peacefully in a free and independent state. But so do Palestinians.

A lasting peace should've (could've) been brokered LONG ago, if not for the obstinacy of uncompromising hard liners and extremists - on BOTH sides, combined with some meddling by outside players (including the US) that has resulted in continuing ongoing acts of aggression that (like all positions and ideologies of extremism) have resulted in death, destruction, and ruin... of even their OWN.

Though on a broader plane, I think it safe to say there has been, without doubt, a steadily rising tide of venom and hate based thoughts and ideologies throughout the world, all of which I see as an effort on the part of certain 'players' to undermine democracies, and destabilize the EU, the Middle East, and the West.

I see this latest action, including Iran's reported involvement (happening as Israel and the Saudis were working toward a normalized relationship), Ukraine and threats of other movements against European and NATO allies, attacks upon "the West," via the rise of white supremacy, neo-Nazis, and fascism in America,

the fomenting of division hate and discord, the attempts to stop government from functioning, the endorsement of authoritarianism over democracy, the alliance of Elon Musk with these entities/ideologies, including those promoting Russian (and other foreign) propaganda, the involvement (alliance) of N. Korea, and yes even Brexit

I see it all as RELATED developments, not happening entirely by "coincidence" and I suspect most (if not all) roads lead right to Moscow.

MY take on it. And when it's revealed to be so, remember where you read it first.

(to be continued)
