The Colombia Free Trade Bill and re-instating most of Bush's tax cuts. I'm sure there were a few other things.

But that's the point. Almost everything he's done and proposed has been horrific policy.

So why was he forced to make recess appointments and why was Harry Reid forced to invoke the nuclear option?

Because he has appointed leftist judges who refuse to abide by the clear meaning of the Constitution; yet who find nonexistent "rights" that aren't in it.

The "right" to homosexual marriage, for example.

BTW, they also blocked his recess appointments by having someone gavel in and out every day, so they were still technically in session even when they were gone.

Which by law means they are in session, which is why SCOTUS overturned at least one of his appointments.
