That time when Iran WARNED THE WEST it would bomb? EVeryone thought they were being pussies and just saving face without starting a war they were afraid of. In truth, the move was a hard recon which provided the regime with lessons learned. It also forced the west to use overkill in stopping Iranian missiles, because the whole world was watching and it KNEW the west had fore-warning. Letting missiles slip through after being alerted in advance would be a bad look - so the west spared no expense, resorting to overkill.
By the way missiles still got through. The important (hypersonic) ones that were aimed at military targets in israel.
