I worked in the print / publication industry through the whole transition from film / photo paper to digital…I scanned thousands of photos…the only “metadata” the occurred was an effing timestamp…nothing else…chain of custody was nonexistent…

then the **** VaG tried his damnedest to say IPTC was the metadata proving authenticity…which in its infancy, applied to faxes, etc…the real recordable metadata didn’t come into play until 1990, a decade after the Cohn photo was taken…

This is metadata attached to copyrighted images of considerable value.
These aren't stock images...Getty paid the photographer, Mariette Pathy Allen, for her collection. She knew whom she was photographing, she was there. There's no "chain of custody" issue.
