Encountering information like that causes them great emotional pain, no kidding. Seeing Trump not only repeal legislation they have sought for decades but speak politically incorrectly drives them batty.
Their emotional security rests on being liberal, so when Liberal Fake Reality is challenged, they react with rage and hate. Their self esteem is being undermined.
