I agree that banning guns won't work. Red Flag laws have been proposed by Democrats and Republicans for years but they rarely pass. And there are way too many soft targets to harden. The current state of affairs in this Country didn't happen in a vacuum. It's been coming for a while now, and it's going to get worse before it gets better, if it ever gets better.
Banning guns or even enacting new laws won't do **** to stop this. We need to harden the soft targets, and be diligent about looking out for one another first and foremost. This guy that just shot up the mall in Texas threw up all kinds of red flags that should have been caught beforehand, as did the Nashville shooter, and a host of others.
My wife always thought I was crazy for carrying a firearm everywhere I went, now she makes sure I have it before we leave the house. It's just the state of the world anymore.
