I have watched Carmen Best achieve National prominence. Best was the chief of police in Seattle during the protests.
She lied and said that protesters were extorting neighborhood businesses on Capitol Hill.
She was about to be bounced from her job because of her lies.
She quit before that could happen.
Now though she is a known liar she is being lionized making television appearances and being considered for police chief jobs in other cities.
I guess we were so used to police lying it doesn't matter.
