Russians making 'incremental progress' in Bakhmut
Russian forces have made "incremental progress" in the last couple of days in their assault on the city of Bakhmut but it is unclear if it will fall, White House spokesperson John Kirby has said.
Speaking to reporters today, Mr Kirby said if Bakhmut were to fall to the Russians "it would not have a strategic impact on the overall war."

I have to disagree with Kirby's assessment. I think if Bakhmut falls it will have a deleterious effect on Ukraine morale. Morale and training have made the difference in this war so far.
