I have never said I had command at sea. I had a shore command. I had six sea tours on three combatants, two replenishment ships and a nuclear powered aircraft carrier. I am a ship driver, a surface warfare officer and a propulsion engineer and I served two years in Lebanon as a crisis mediator with the United Nations. I never pushed a pencil. I don't want anyone to bow down to me. I just take umbrage when people denigrate me.
