Mississippi is 40% black.

You choose to live in Maine.
Why?                                                                                  

It has absolutely nothing to do with the ethnicity of the citizenry.

It has absolutely everything to do with:
1.  the sparsity of the population
2.  the relative coolness of the climate
3.  the quality of the lobster rolls
4.  the proximity of my three adult children.

Now answer MY question:  
Who ever said that MLK day had anything to do with gaining freedoms?
What freedom did you gain on President's Day?
