WHO controls your HEALTHCARE under that "Medicare for All" you so adamantly DEMAND?? YOU the individual or the Government?? And can you CHOOSE your level of care based on YOUR PERSONAL needs or does the GOVERNMENT determine FOR YOU what you need?? And can you REFUSE the government plan and find something you prefer??
A FIRE DEPARTMENT is something you CAN call if you need to, but it's NOT a requirement as your SOCIALIST HEALTHCARE would be. And I can OPT to use the Interstate or if I want, take the back roads and or walk!! NO ONE is forcing me to use either one.
So... in your way of thinking, socialism must be national in nature? States could not initiate socialist programs?
Medicare and social security fit your definition of socialist, but every president since Roosevelt has supported Social Security and every president since Johnson has supported Medicare.
Fire departments.... who pays for them? YOU do... whether you chose to call them when your house is on fire is your business.... although the city may very well come and put your house fire out even without being asked. It is a requirement that you cough up your share of the costs of that department, however. How socialist of you!!!!
No one is forcing me to go to any doctor I don't want to see. I can chose to see him, or I can chose to self medicate. No one is forcing me to see anyone.
