A classic story... Calvin Coolidge, born in Vermont, lived in Massachusetts, became governor...became VP... became President when Harding died in office....
Cal was approached at a Washington cocktail party by a man who said, "Mister President... I just bet a man over there who said I couldn't get you to say three words." Coolidge said, "You lose".
