Rich Hill just got let go by the Boston Red Sox. He pitched in four games this year, I think, and he is 44 years old. Was he "Mariano Rivera" good? No. Was he "Sandy Koufax" good? No. Was he "Cy Young" good? No. But he still could strike guys out. He still could induce infield ground balls. He may not have been as good as he once was, or as good as those three I mentioned EVER were, but he was not UNFIT.
